Our family runs a successful business in Kathmandu, Nepal employing women who knit woolen garments. Lovely sterling silver jewelry is also hand made in our city . The woolen products are knit by the hands of skilled women who cannot work otherwise due to the different social structure. Our purchase of their knitted garments generates full time employment for 5.2 women for an entire year. The sterling silver jewelry is made by skilled local artisans as well. We chose many designs which we hope you will enjoy. We paid fair wage to these women and artisans. This provided full time employment for 12.6 people for the entire year....in total we improved the lives of almost 18 people for 12 months! We understand this is like a drop in the ocean, but for us, every single drop counts. These are our country men and women - all of whom are artists we know personally.
